Overview

General Settings page in Backuply Admin Panel allows Admin to manage global backup behavior, email configurations, performance controls, and toggle the backup system ON or OFF.

Navigate to Admin Panel > Settings > General

General Settings

These are basic general settings that Admin can manage.

  • Admin Email Address : Email address where notifications and alerts related to backups will be sent.
  • From Email Address : The email address from which Backuply notifications will appear to be sent.
  • Default Time Format : Set the default time format for displaying timestamps across Backuply UI.
  • Timezone : This is inherited from the control panel on which Backuply is installed and running.

Backup settings

These are Backuply global settings that Admin can manage.

  • Max background processes : Set the maximum number of backup jobs to run in parallel. Helps optimize server resource usage.
  • Deleted Users Backup Retention Period (Days) : Number of days to retain backups of deleted users before automatic cleanup.
  • Disable Endusers to Restore Admin Backup : Prevents end-users from restoring backups created by Admin.
  • Disable Emails of Admin Backups : 

Disable Backuply

Admin can temporarily disable the Backuply system and stop all backup operations with alert message for all Backuply end users.

This action will disable Backuply and users will not able to use it.
