How to setup Google Drive on Backuply

Overview

In this guide we will help you setup Google Drive on Backuply. Here we are assuming that you are a Backuply Pro user as Google Drive is a Pro only feature.

Setting-up Google Drive

On your WordPress dashboard go to Backuply -> Backup Locations.

Look for Add Backup Location button and click it a modal will appear.

In the modal look for Protocol Input and select Google Drive in that

After Selecting it fill there required details, there will be 3 fields after selecting Google Drive namely Location Name, Protocol(which we have already selected as Google Drive), Backup Location(which is a optional field).

Location Name: It just work as an identifier to identify a particular location as multiple locations could be set on Google Drive.

Backup Location: Its the folder you want to upload your backups, if left blank it will place the backup at the root location, which is inside the Backuply folder that is created when you give Backuply access to Google Drive and all your backups go inside it and in there the Backup Location folders are created.

After Clicking on Add Backup Location Button you will be redirected to Google Drive authentication page

Select your Google Account you want to backup your WordPress website to.

After selecting your Google account, next page will ask you to give access to Specific Drive features to backuply, So Click on Continue to give backuply access to your Google Drive account.

After access has been given, you will be redirected back to your WordPress dashboard and if it says Backup Location added successfully then Google Drive has been added and you can check it by going to Backup Locations tab.
